The Uganda Climate Change and Development Forum was started by Henry Lutaaya – a Ugandan Journalist as a platform that is dedicated to providing news and information and as a platform for sharing ideas and experiences about the impact of Climate change in Uganda.

As it is increasingly becoming clear, the problems associated with Climate change are inherently development challenges in nature.

I hope and I believe that it is the view of many of you that sharing ideas openly will not only improve our understanding of the problems association with climate change, it will enable us build better lives for our generation that not only benefit the environment but also help us overcome poverty, disease, bad governance and inequality.

With the forthcoming negotiations in Copenhagen, Denmark, I believe that we can use this forum to get a clear understanding of our bargaining positions in the international arena as well as devise ways of utilising the available knowledge both traditional and scientific, from Copenhagen and beyond so as to adapt to climate change.
