Ugandan Students attend the Africa Initiative on Climate change conference in Kampala

It has been billed as the first major conference held on the African continent that targeted the people with the potential to build the much-needed awareness among poor people in Uganda who are highly vulnerable to the effects of climate change.
Organisers of the first African Initiative on Climate Change Congress held at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala, November 2-4, 2009 have received praise for their deliberate focus on involving school children and local government leaders from across the country to learn and share views about climate change.
